Is the chair you’re sitting in treated with flame retardants? What about your bed, couch, and carpet?
Flame retardants contain various synthetic chemicals and are commonly used in household furniture. These synthetics are also known endocrine disruptors, meaning they interfere with the way hormones are made and used in your body. (1)
In addition to lowering testosterone, they are also linked to lowered IQ and increased risk of cancer. And if your furniture has been treated, studies show the dust in your house and the air you breathe are likely contaminated, too. (2, 3)
How Can I Reduce Exposure?
When buying new products such as furniture, mattresses, or carpet padding, check their labels. Be mindful of items containing PBDEs, antimony, formaldehyde, boric acid, and other brominated chemicals. Select naturally less flammable materials such as leather, wool, and cotton.
Keep your house clean by dusting with a damp cloth and using a vacuum with a HEPA filter, which traps small particles of dust instead of blowing them around the house.
And wash your hands with unscented soap and water, especially before eating, which will rinse a substation amount of chemical residue off your body and down the drain. (2)
Although fire retardants are difficult to avoid, Andro400 can help increase your testosterone despite your exposure to these chemicals. When you boost your T levels with Andro400, you will be able to more fully experience the health benefits of natural testosterone that these fire retardants may be taking away — such as improved mood, memory, and immune system, and more energy, strength, and stamina.
